A lot of you have probably been wondering, ‘Hey, what’s up with the pears? Why did you girls choose fruit as your logo for a beauty salon?’ Well, we’re happy to share that story with you.
When Megan and I first met, we were working at a cute little nail salon in Old Town Fort Collins called Two Pairs Party Spa. It was named so because everyone has two pairs. A pair of hands and a pair of feet. And the pears in the logo tied it together and made the salon really cute and for a long time, it was a super fun place to work. It’s been closed for a while, but the two of us still have really fond memories of working there.
Now aside from our work history, Megan and I became really good friends and we also ended up following each other from salon to salon. After Two Pairs, Megan went with me to Salon Giorgio. And then later I ended up following her to Vixen Lashes and Nail Bar. And while we were at Vixen, we learned all about a couple of other ‘pairs.’ The pair of eyelashes and the pair of eyebrows. And we had a really great time perfecting both of those crafts.
When we decided to open up our own shop, we knew that we needed an idea that really represented us. Something that represents our history, our profession, and our friendship. So it was obvious that it was time to re-open an old gem. Two Pairs Party Spa is now Essential Pairs: Lashes, Brows, and Nails. We couldn’t be happier with our decision. And yes, we kept the fruit.
